Fresh Produce Buyer
Reporting to the Trading Manager, you will be accountable for: • buying and sourcing of produce and arranging logistics • negotiating prices and trading terms with farmers/suppliers • importing fresh produce (via sea/airfreight) • costing of the produce and setting of selling prices • product management, including ensuring high quality • driving sales through Shoprite and wholesales • regular farm/opposition and market visits.
Essential to fuilling this role, is a relevant university degree and previous trading experience, as well as: • computer literacy· good English communication and interpersonal skills at staff, management and supplier level • Knowledge of fruit and vegetables and management experience in a packhouse environment will be advantageous.

VACANCY FOR HEAD OPERATIONS, EXCHANGE TELECOM URGENTLY NEEDED

A Large Telecommunications provider requires applications from qualified persons to fill the position of:
HEAD OPERATIONS, EXCHANGE TELECOM, Lagos.
The Candidate will be Responsible to;
   Champion the formulation and implementation of strategies and plans organisation wide in order to achieve maximum returns on investment, minimise the cost of doing business, promote a positive image of the company and above all, ensure sustenance and continuity of the company’s operations.
   To provide overall strategic leadership, direction and guidance for the company’s operations and activities.
   Develop and maintain beneficial and credible business relationships with peers and champion the formulation of strategic alliances/partnership with appropriate businesses/companies.
   Monitor and stay abreast of industry, national and global developments, trends and events to ensure Exchange Telecoms is able to maintain and sharpen its competitive positioning and advantage.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements
   A good first degree, preferably in a technical subject such as Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunications Engineering or any numerate discipline.
   Relevant Professional certifications.
   An advanced degree in Engineering or Business Administration would be advantageous.
   At least ten (10) years operational experience in the Telecommunications Industry.
   Good knowledge, understanding and experience of accounting concepts, principles and practices regarding budgeting and management reporting.
   Good project management and time management skills.
   Good knowledge of Suburban’s operating model including products, services and delivery mechanism.
   Strong skills and demonstrated capability to anticipate issues of strategic importance and lead/ utilize available resources to develop effective solutions.
   Strong Knowledge of Ms Excel and Word. Knowledge of Advanced excel will be an added advantage.
   Good report writing and presentation skills.
   Leadership and supervisory/ people management skills.
   Good networking and teaming skills.
   Good data gathering, problem analysis and solving skills.
